Position Summary
Responsible for successful and efficient planning, purchasing, and inventory awareness of components and raw materials used in the manufacturing of personal care products. The position works with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
Works in conjunction with and in support of senior purchasing staff (Buyer III, and Purchasing Manager) in the tactical and strategic procurement of assigned commodities. Gathers and analyzes inventory levels and production system demands, generating quotations, and preparing purchase orders for procurement of materials. Familiar with most if not all basic purchasing concepts, practices, and procedures such as non-disclosure, request for quotation, agency, and the contractual relationship.
